Food Trucks to Benefit Five Acres Animal Shelter

The food truck trend has been making its way from coastal regions to the Midwest.  Since 2011, food trucks have being making an impact on St. Louis and have been generating quite the buzz.  Traveling affordable food and entertainment—what could be better!  Next month, Miss Aimee B’s and The Five Acres Animal Shelter are teaming up for the Furry Friends Food Truck Event on Saturday, October 4 from 4:00pm-8:00pm.  Zack and Brie Smithey, owners of Miss Aimee B’s, are proud owners of two rescue dogs from Five Acres so they are more than willing to give back to the shelter by donating a portion of proceeds.

The Five Acres Animal Shelter is the only no-kill shelter in St. Louis with a clear mission to end pet homelessness, promote responsible pet ownership, and advocate for animal welfare.  With success story after success story, Five Acres is clearly deserving of the help from St. Louisians and pet lovers to help raise money and provide forever homes to our furry friends.

The event will include fabulous food, desserts, live music, friendly people and furry friends!  There will also be raffle tickets for sale for a 2014 Chevy Equinox that will be raffled off at the end of October.  It’s sure to be a great time!
